Loving Me

Well I am new to this so probably no one who reads this will even have a clue who I am, in any way, shape or form. But today I am going to write about me. For those of you who don't know I am getting my inspiration for writing from the blog Sami's Spirit. I personally don't know Sami, nor have I known of her for a long time. Just recently I began a new journey in life and turned to the internet to search for others like me. Boy did I find my other half, or however you would label that, maybe my long lost bestie. You know a girl who is just like me, only has the ability to love and express herself in her own unique way without any shame. Unfortunately I can't say the same for myself. I have been put down and made fun of for so many things in my life, so everything I do I am very judgmental and self conscious about. I always say I don't care what others think, and well to some extent I don't at the time, but later on that crap really catches up with me in my thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors. So if you didn't already read her post (cause you really should check it out, well if you like this sort of thing) she suggested that we blog about our inner nerd, and boy do I have that. So here I am I am going to make a list of the top ten things that I personally try to hide about myself for fear that others will think I am strange, weird or totally uncool. Well since none of you have a clue who I am, maybe I will add in some obvious observations people get by looking at me when we meet.




1. I am always on line. Whatever I do in life I have Google to back me up.

2. I am horrible at video games, but I love playing a few games on Facebook so much that I check in and take 1/2 hour, 2 or 3 times a day to play them.

3. I do crazy things with my hair sometimes, and I like it every time. Right now I only have hair on the top front of my head, the rest is 1/8 of an inch clipper short. Also it is a bright burgundy red. Punk Rock, I love it who cares what any one else thinks.

4. The above statement is only how I feel part of the time. Sometimes when I go somewhere I cover my hair. :(

5. Ok, I am stealing one from Sami because it is true of me too. I would almost always (a few rare exceptions) spend every Saturday (and Friday) at home with my family doing my own thing. Working, crafting, writing, reading, playing scrabble ( did I mention I am almost a genious), or watching reruns of my favorite vampire shows.

6. I hate the day.I am a zombie until 5 pm most days. Definitely do not wake me before noon. Sorry babe, never gonna work, me being a "morning" person. I love the DARK.

7. I constantly bite my nails (I know, super yucky) when I get nervous, and I am always nervous when I leave my house.

8.I like to EXPLAIN everything that I am saying to make sure YOU understand.

9. I am a bitch, and a witch. I speak whats on my mind and I get whats mine. LOL, thought that cheesy statement was cute.

10. I am not an OPEN witch, I never discuss religion and beliefs with people. And that's why I am here so I can learn ways to express myself, and to not be ashamed about them.

So with all of that being said. I love myself, I love ME. I love being who I am no matter what you think. If we weren't unique life would suck, so embrace your inner nerd, dork, loner, quiet mouthed, bookworm, geek self, and LOVE yourself because if you can't love you, then why should I want to???
