Today is Friday, Fix-it day! Yay!
So I got up and began my day. Numerous people asked how I
was doing and I replied with the usual normal, fine, alright, pretty good, etc.
And from more than a couple people I heard the reply it could be better. Yes it
could be, but it could also be worse. You could be sick, homeless on drugs,
getting divorced, losing a family member, among many other things that could be
going on.
Seriously people you are alive, awake, breathing, walking
and talking to another living breathing human. Be grateful for what you are
living instead of what you aren't living. And if it’s missing from your life,
take action and place it there. Give yourself a good reason to live. Quit
relying on everything else in life to give you happiness. Things happen, life
is horrible at times, but don’t let those little things bring you down. And
don’t let that one little bad thing trump the 5 great things you have going on.
For instance say that you are sick, you just found out that
you have Diabetes. This is a life long illness and requires a lot of care. You
will now have extra doctors’ visits, take medication, and change your diet. Yes,
definitely this is a bad day. And yes things could be better, but also things
could still be worse. If you put too much focus into to being down and out because
of the bad news and the terrible life change all you will do is make things
worse. However, if you accept the news and continue to live life positively and
do the things required of you, you could help make things better for you. Even
if not, you will have acceptance. The other things in your life that could have
gotten worse, such as stress or depression will be maintained at a livable
range.
Basically I am saying to stay positive, no matter what life
throws at you. If you keep your attitude positive, you keep your stress level
low, you illnesses down and also put other people in a good mood because they see
you smile and say great day to you even though they are being weighed down by life’s
normal negativity. Smile and be happy.
